RSPCA Week runs from Monday April 30th to Sunday May 6th and during the week we can collect donations from local Tesco supermarkets in our Branch area. This is a great chance to raise vital funds for our animals in need.
Can you spare a couple of hours or more? Volunteers work in pairs and it is a great way to directly help animals who are recovering from cruelty or neglect. Why not make a difference for the animals?

This is a story with a very happy ending, thanks to a kind lady and a tiny micro chip...
We had a telephone call from a very kind lady who had befriended Benj. He was very thin, very hungry and disorientated. Benji came into our kennels and was cared for over night, kept comfortable and warm.
The next morning we used our chip scanner. HOORAY Benji had a chip. The owner was contacted and they were so pleased to be reunited with their 22 year old cat. His German shepherd friend had also been pining for him. Benji is now back home, but occasionally pops back to our well wisher, hoping for a snack.
We would never have reunited Benji had the owner not micro-chipped him. We have an offer to micro-chip an animal for free - contact the Branch for more information. |
